"Alarm Red"
is available in a Limited Edition
run. 100 prints were flown into Iraq on the 4th of
February 2005. While giclée prints can theoretically be
printed without limit, these hundred are considered
limited edition because they were flown on a combat
mission into the place depicted in the painting, Balad
Airbase.
After this edition sells out, future
(open) editions will be available but not flown into Balad by the
artist. This is truly a limited run.

"Mutual Support" - is a
painting based upon an actual cross-country "SKE"
flight, where a 39th AS crew lead a 40th AS crew home
after the Blue Tail's radar malfunctioned. Severe
thunderstorms would have made it impossible for the
Screaming Eagle crew to make it home alone. This
is available as an "on-demand" photo print directly from
Kodak.

About the Prints
Giclée Prints
The
giclée (pronounced "zee
clay") fine art prints are produced by James Broome (son of famous
aviation artist,
Rick Broome).
James selected
Epson Somerset Velvet
watercolor paper for its texture and thickness, and
Ultrachrome
inks for their durability. This print should last you well over
fifty years. As with all artwork, you should not display this in
direct sunlight.
Photo Prints
Kodak prints my artwork on high-quality Kodak paper, a
resin-coated, silver-halide color paper optimized for digital
printers. A light source inside their digital printers exposes the
photographic paper pixel by pixel. This process mimics traditional
photography, in which light from the subject exposes photographic
film inside of a camera.
Each print considered to be of "archival quality" (durable and
chemically stable). Prints from Kodak have the same archival
quality as prints made from 35mm film.
